Frequently Asked Questions

What are your service times?

East Dubbo: Church@9 (9 am), Church@11 (11 am), and Church@6 (6 pm). K-6 children’s programs run during Church@9 and Church@11. A parents’ room with audio/video is available. West Dubbo (Church@10): Meets at Macquarie Anglican Grammar School at 10 am with a K–6 children’s program

What can I expect when I visit for the first time?

Find your way to the front door and an usher will be there. You can ask them any questions like where to sit or where are the toilets. We wear name tags to help us remember each others names. You may be offered a name tag. Feel free to get a name tag or head straight in. Find a seat in the main auditorium and sit down. It’s a relaxed setup (a bit like a movie theatre). There will be some singing, prayer, Bible teaching, and sometimes an interview segment. Services last around 60 minutes.

How early should I arrive?

We start on the hour or a few minutes after, so if you are there by 5 minutes to that will be plenty of time. There’s tea and coffee available after the meeting if you’d like to stay and meet some others.

How does the Children’s program work?

We will sing a couple of songs at the start of our chruch meeting and then 15 or 20 minutes in the K-6 children head out to kids church together. If it's your first time you'll need to give us your contact details just so we can contact you if necessary. Just head out with the children and the teachers will be waiting and they can guide you with how to sign in your children. You can make this process faster by registering your children’s details with us before you come. Do that here.

What’s the church’s vision and focus?

We want to help people meet Jesus, grow in community, and find where they can best serve to God’s glory. Our vision includes three strands: Loving God, Loving the Church, and Loving the World  .

What exactly does “Loving God, Loving the Church, Loving the World” mean?

  • Loving God: Engaging deeply with God in his word to know him and life for him.

  • Loving the Church: Building community, praying, caring, and helping one another to grow more like Christ together.

  • Loving the World: Living out the gospel by sharing the gospel others, inviting them to follow Jesus.

Are there other ways for me to find out about Jesus without coming on a Sunday?

Absolutely! We host an “Intro to Jesus” course and “Meet Jesus” events - like Q&A dinners, and special evenings designed to help newcomers explore who Jesus is and why He matters. Fill in the form on this page and someone will be in touch.
